Very nice rustic restaurant. We stopped there after a hike from Unterkirnach. Nice beer garden and delicious food. Very nice staff

We went to the Waldgasthaus spontaneously on Friday afternoon after a short walk. Really very nice service, super delicious food (Auerhahnburger highly recommended) and a nice ambience, we would like to highlight. Referring to other comments here: the waitress wore a face mask, disinfectant was available at the restaurant entrance, tables were corona-compliant with a distance from one another.

I was at Auerhahn on Saturday, originally I wasn't expecting much, but the last visit was very disappointing. Only about 40 percent of the menu published on the internet was available. So this has not been updated. I myself live vegetarian, there was a vegetarian dish on the menu (vegetable platter with fried potatoes), as well as a dish on the menu of the day. Furthermore, with poor spelling and grammar, it is pointed out that both guests and employees are not expected to wear mouth and nose protection (current corona situation). Even if it is disturbing, due to the current situation, I feel this is necessary and it is required by law. Unfortunately, I also had to find out that tables were not cleaned after use, much less disinfected. I cannot recommend a visit even though the food ultimately served was tasty.

Great food, staff friendly and courteous. Suitable for family celebrations, or small celebrations. Perfect music. We'd love to see you again soon

Great atmosphere. The way from Freiburg was very worthwhile with the excellent and freshly prepared food. We will now come here more often. Thank you.

The waitresses and operators are very friendly, the food is also very tasty. I've been a guest four times now and tried different dishes and was always satisfied. Thank you very much for the very nice hospitality :-) I wish everyone continued success and good luck!

My favorite place. You can see and taste that high quality ingredients are used here. Very friendly service, great cook. Nice ambience inside and out. The overall concept is right. Here you can only feel comfortable.

Actually a nice place. Food is ok. Unfortunately, the hygiene measures for Corona are not observed by the employees. Nobody wears a mask, as this is not to be expected of the guests either. Corresponding information is available on the table. Unfortunately, a visit is no longer possible!

Nicely located, friendly staff. Price too high for the quality and quantity. Little beef goulash, tough meat, good spaetzle, sauce standard and that with self-service and without salad for 14.50 on beer benches.

Very nicely located inn with a great beer garden. Meat dishes are standard and rather carelessly presented and the price a little too high. I won't eat that anymore. Vespers are recommended and more appropriate to the type of restaurant. If the staff had been a bit more attentive, we would have drunk even more, but multiple shouts and waves were ignored

"Roller coaster of flavours" This is what I would describe the experience of dining at this place. I have been to this place a few times now and this place is hands down the best culinary experience you can have within this area. The food are prepared fresh (and with love I can safely say) and each bite you take is giving you the experience of layers of flavours that you can imagine. Would definitely recommend this place because it gives a complex twist to what seemingly a simple local dish.

Good food. Friendly service. Looks like a husband and wife team run the place. It's in the boonies docks and many bike there but by car is also easily accessible. Had schnitzel and Pommes 12€. Meat was fresh. Maultaschen suppe has a lot of parsley. Decent prices. Ice.cream wasn't too special though. Have kids playground and some friendly dogs. Customers also brought dogs.
